When AI lookup is available, your question and public metric names are sent to OpenAI only to choose a read-only Retailfacts lookup. Numerical results come from approved statistics, not AI-generated figures.

Read each result with its source, reference year and period, geography, status and available context. Missing statistics are not predictions. AI can misinterpret a question; check the original source.

This lookup does not profile households or individuals. Area statistics do not describe a particular household.

Public source metadata remains visible whether AI is available or not. AI availability does not change the provenance of published statistics.

Retailfacts does not store raw questions, prompts or answers on its server. Operational metadata is separate from question and answer content.

Terminal non-billing operational metadata records are retained for 7 days after reaching a terminal state.

Operational records with an uncertain outcome are retained until reconciled; the terminal-record period is not a promise to delete unresolved records.

Monthly aggregate usage accounting is separate from these operational metadata records and their retention period.

When available, the OpenAI request uses store: false. This does not guarantee zero provider retention: abuse-monitoring retention and applicable exceptions are governed by OpenAI data controls.
